Spellbound is one on the longest running queer parties in Amsterdam. I think the first time we used the name Spellbound dates back to the winter of 1993 / 1994. From the summer of 2005 until winter 2006 we used 'Disco Hospital' as ou main title. Just to create some consistancy and confusion both at the same time...

One of my favorites from this series. A small pinguin image all polished up to make it look like plastic with the red cross as a sort of target on it's belly.

Third of this series and probably the best...

Fourth of this series. The robot is made from pictures found at a vintage robot shop. The original design has been radically reshaped to make it much, much more 'aaibaar,' as they say in Dutch.

Sixth of this series and the that took quiet a few hours just to get the colors rigt. It is based on a plastic shark toy in a hard childish blue, which I photographed and reworked in photo-shop to make it look like metal and natural, both at the same time.

Number seven... A party with friends from Roterdam. The picture of the horse is actually The Ponyclub-logo. I just added the dandelions (made in Illustrator) and used some filters on the picture of the horse to give it some idea of movement.

Last in this series. Made of half a frog and all sort of bits and pieces, textures and other found footage. Click here for a picture of the huge version I made to put on the wall at OCCII, the venue for this party.
